民國時期的南陽城內，一場突如其來的詭異符咒瘟疫引發全城恐慌。一名孤膽調查員在追蹤線索時，意外發現城外碼頭停靠著一艘詭異輪船，船上滿載著被稱為“暮草”的神秘植株。當地傳聞，這種草藥擁有起死回生的奇效，但每一株草藥的背後都伴隨著血腥的詛咒。隨著調查深入，調查員不僅要面對接連不斷的離奇兇殺案，還要潛入迷霧籠罩的輪船深處尋找真相，卻發現自己早已成了某種黑暗力量的獵物。當死者在陰影中緩緩睜眼，隱藏在南陽背後的驚天陰謀正逐漸浮出水面。
